Riesling Marvel

The Dreissigacker Wunderwerk Riesling comes from the renowned, biodynamically cultivated top vineyard sites of Geyersberg, Kirchspiel, and Morstein in Bechtheim and Westhofen. The grapes are selectively hand-harvested and spend half a day on the skins. Natural yeasts are used for fermentation. The Riesling is aged 30% in large wooden barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks. A year of lees aging followed by four years of bottle aging creates exceptional harmony and power. An extraordinary blend of these great single vineyard sites.

The German winery Dreissigacker is located in Rheinhessen and was founded in 1728. The current owner is Jochen Dreissigacker, who manages a total vineyard area of 28 hectares. This area is divided among several vineyard sites (including Bechtheimer Geyersberg and Bechtheimer Hasensprung) consisting of loess loam, calcareous marl, limestone, and clay soils. The winery places particular emphasis on the cultivation and production of Riesling wines, which accounts for more than half of the vineyard area. Other grape varieties cultivated include the Burgundy varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir, as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Dreissigacker produces 180,000 bottles of wine annually. Eichelmann 2021 awarded it the title of "World-Class Winery" *****
