Vintage white 1.5L Magnum

Five vintages in one bottle — this is not a blend born of necessity, but a concept: Dreissigacker from Bechtheim in Rheinhessen brings together the vintages 2017 to 2021 to create a Riesling that shows what happens when you understand time as an ingredient.

The Dreissigacker winery is one of the most impressive estates in Rheinhessen. Biodynamic farming, consistently low yields, spontaneous fermentation—their philosophy is clear: vineyard first, cellar second. Aged in stainless steel tanks, which preserve the fruit and minerality of each vintage in their purest form. The magnum bottling is advantageous from a aging perspective: 1.5 liters develop more slowly and evenly than the standard bottle.

In the glass, different characters converge: the vibrant citrus and apricot fruit of the cool 2021 vintage, the taut minerality of the 2020, the creamy texture of the 2019, the balance between acidity and ripeness of the 2018—and the first delicate petrol and quince aromas of the 2017, which lend depth to the whole. The acidity is present but integrated; the finish is long and slightly saline.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C , preferably decanted. Pairs well with pan-fried pike-perch with beurre blanc, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a mature mountain cheese. Best enjoyed between 2024 and 2030.
