Argiolas S'Elegas Nuragus di Cagliari DOC
Nuragus is one of Sardinia's oldest grape varieties – and at Argiolas, it shows what it's capable of. The S'Elegas is an uncomplicated white wine with a clear character: lively, fresh, and ready to drink.
Argiolas is one of the island's most renowned wineries, family-owned for decades and firmly established in the Nuragus di Cagliari DOC in southern Sardinia. The Nuragus grape variety is deeply rooted in the Sardinian soil – producing light wines that defy the warm island climate while retaining their freshness.
In the glass, the S'Elegas displays aromas of white peach, honeydew melon, and ripe pear. The acidity remains present, keeping the wine lively and ensuring a clean, short finish. Not a complex wine for aging, but a reliable everyday white wine with a Mediterranean character.
Drink it young and well chilled at 8–10 °C. It goes well with grilled fish, pasta with seafood or a simple insalata di mare – and works just as well as an uncomplicated aperitif on warm evenings.

Argiolas – the cradle of the Sardinian wine renaissance. Founded in 1938 by Antonio Argiolas in Serdiana, the 230-hectare estate is now run by the third generation, his grandchildren. Antonio was ahead of his time: larger vineyard areas, a focus on quality. With legendary oenologist Giacomo Tachis as a consultant, his sons invested in modernization. Only indigenous grape varieties are cultivated – many almost forgotten. Vermentino, Cannonau, Monica, Carignano – the Mediterranean climate provides them with ideal growing conditions. The highlight: Turriga, regularly awarded three glasses in the Gambero Rosso guide. Sardinian, elegant, international. Over two million bottles produced annually – Sardinian wine culture for the world.
