Antinori Rosso Toscana IGT double magnum
A classic Tuscan wine in a large format: The 3-liter double magnum matures more slowly than a standard bottle – this noticeably benefits a wine like this.
Antinori is one of Italy's oldest winemaking dynasties, family-owned since 1385. The winery has significantly shaped modern Tuscan wine culture – among other things, as one of the originators of the Super Tuscan concept. The Rosso Toscana IGT is the accessible entry point into the Antinori range: a Sangiovese base complemented by international grape varieties, aged for 12 months in barriques.
In the glass, it displays sour cherry, ripe plum, and a hint of tobacco. The tannins are present but not harsh – rather silky, with a medium body and a pleasantly long, slightly spicy finish. The acidity holds everything together.
- Dishes: Bistecca alla Fiorentina, Pasta al ragù, grilled lamb chops or mature Pecorino
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Occasion: Large gatherings, celebrations, gift for wine lovers
The double magnum format makes it the perfect bottle for special evenings – and a conversation starter on any table.
