Weissburgunder Cora

Weissburgunder Cora
The Weissburgunder Cora from the Schreckbichl winery comes from the heart of South Tyrol – a cooperative that has stood for artisanal precision and deep roots in the terroir of the Überetsch hills for over 60 years.
In the glass, it displays the characteristic strength of Pinot Blanc: ripe pear, white blossoms, and a hint of almond, supported by fresh acidity and a creamy texture. The finish is dry, medium-long, with a light mineral note.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with asparagus with hollandaise sauce, light veal, or mild mountain cheese from the region.

Kellerei Schreckbichl has stood for South Tyrolean winemaking art since 1960. Back then, 26 winegrowers joined forces to be more independent and to be able to manage their vineyards even better together. Over the decades, this idea has become a success story: today, the cooperative has around 300 members who together cultivate about 300 hectares of vineyards – between 230 and 650 meters above sea level, in one of the best locations in South Tyrol.
Tradition and modernity go hand in hand here: careful manual labor in the vineyard, natural cultivation, and state-of-the-art cellar technology complement each other to create a business that not only preaches responsibility but lives it – for example with its own photovoltaics and heat recovery in the cellar. These high altitudes between Alpine air and Mediterranean warmth give the grapes exactly the freshness and ripeness that makes South Tyrolean wines so special.
The range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer as well as Pinot Noir, Merlot, and the local Vernatsch – authentic wines with a clear regional expression. Schreckbichl is therefore much more than a cooperative: it is an association with an attitude that shows how community and quality can strengthen each other.
