Wachenheimer Cuvée Prestige Reserve Brut Nature

A Sekt that shows what the Palatinate can do: The Wachenheimer Cuvée Prestige Reserve Brut Nature from the Wachtenburg Winzer is artisanally made sparkling wine at a true level – honest, precise, without dosage.

What makes this Sekt special is time. 30 months of aging on the lees leave their mark in the best way: the yeast gives the wine depth, creaminess, and a fine breadiness that you recognize immediately. On the palate, the cuvée shows itself to be dense and supple, yet lively and juicy – not a contradiction, but the result of patient vinification. The Brut Nature classification means: zero dosage, only what the grape and cellar provide.

This Sekt is suitable for moments when you know exactly: for the start of a special dinner, with oysters or a ripe Comté, but also solo – simply into the glass, drink in peace. Anyone who appreciates classic Champagne and is curious about Palatinate answers is exactly right here.

The Winery

Wachtenburg Winzer

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest wine cooperatives in the Palatinate: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winemakers, it today stands for the joint craftsmanship of 24 winemaker families who together cultivate 350 hectares.

The namesake is the striking Wachtenburg castle ruin high above Wachenheim — a landmark that is literally written on the faces of the wines of this cooperative.

The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends far into all worlds of taste with over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful handling of the vineyards — that is the self-image that connects all these winemaker families.
