Oestricher Lenchen Eiserberg Riesling 303 Spätlese

The Spätlese 303 is a tribute to the grandfather of the Spreitzer winery — and to a legendary harvest: The number 303 represents that Trockenbeerenauslese (dry berry selection) which was once harvested at 303 degrees Oechsle in the Oestricher Eiserberg vineyard. Since the year 2000, this Spätlese has come from precisely the same vineyard.

The Eiserberg vineyard, now part of the Oestricher Lenchen site, faces west and benefits from afternoon sun. The soil is a mineral composition: iron oxides, clay, loess, red slate, and quartzite. This interplay results in wines with pronounced extract density and a vibrant minerality that is clearly perceptible in the finish.

In the bottle: delicate fruity aromas with the typical creaminess of a Rheingau Spätlese, enveloped in a well-balanced fruit sweetness. Served slightly chilled at 10–12 °C, it pairs well with Asian-marinated salmon, blue cheese, or a classic apple pie with cream.
