Schäfer-Fröhlich Bockenau FELSENECK Riesling dry GG
Felseneck is one of the great single vineyards of the Nahe Valley – a steep porphyry cliff near Bockenau that produces Riesling with unmistakable tension. Tim Schäfer-Fröhlich is among the most precise winemakers in the Nahe: spontaneous fermentation, extended lees aging, and consistently dry winemaking.
In the glass, the GG displays a cool, firmly structured character: yellow plum, lemon zest, and a hint of white blossom on the nose, underpinned by a pronounced slate minerality. On the palate, it is both taut and juicy – the acidity is present but never harsh. With aeration, the wine opens up and develops herbal, slightly spicy depth. The finish remains long, cool, and characterized by bright minerality.
