Paul Mas Syrah-Grenache Noir

A southern French everyday red that delivers more than its price suggests: dark fruit, melt, and the typical pepper play of the south.

Paul Mas is one of the most well-known estates in the Languedoc. Jean-Claude Mas has developed the family winery into one of the largest quality producers in the region – with vineyards between Montpellier and Béziers, on soils of limestone and red shale, which suit Syrah and Grenache particularly well.

In the glass, it shows a dark violet red. On the nose, blackberry and black currant, plus a hint of mocha and Mediterranean spice. On the palate, soft and juicy, with ripe dark fruit and a finish characterized by the typical pepper character of Syrah. The tannins are polished, the acidity subtle – an uncomplicated, round wine without sharp edges.
