Echézeaux Grand Cru in Hong Kong
A Grand Cru from the heart of the Côte de Nuits – the Echézeaux embodies what Burgundy can offer in its best locations: depth, elegance and a minerality that lingers long after tasting.
Louis Jadot is one of the most renowned négociant houses of the Côte d'Or. Based in Beaune since 1859, the house works with grapes from the most important vineyards in Burgundy – including this Echézeaux, whose chalky soils and southeast exposure offer exceptional ripening conditions for Pinot Noir.
In the glass, it displays a deep red Burgundy with violet reflections. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, and a hint of dried violets, underpinned by delicate notes of cedar and undergrowth. On the palate, it is velvety with silky tannins, lively acidity, and a mineral, lingering finesse that clearly reflects the typical character of the vineyard.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Drinking window: 2025–2035. Pairs well with duck breast with cherries, wild boar loin or a mature Époisses.
