Domaine Tariquet Sauvignon Blanc

Domaine Tariquet Sauvignon Blanc
Domaine Tariquet Sauvignon Blanc is a typical, fresh white wine from the Côtes de Gascogne, combining the aromatic intensity of Sauvignon Blanc with the lively, fruit-forward character of Gascony. The Tariquet winery is among the pioneers of white wine culture in southwest France, and with this wine, they demonstrate how precisely and vibrantly Sauvignon Blanc can thrive in this warm, sunny climate.
In the glass, it shines a bright, pale straw yellow with green reflections. The nose is expressive and fresh, with classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas of gooseberry, grapefruit, lemon verbena, fresh herbs, and a hint of white currant , complemented by a fine mineral note. On the palate, it is dry, crisp, and lively, with an animating, precise acidity that ensures freshness and a long, lingering finish. The body is light to medium-bodied, the texture clear and clean, with a long, tart, and refreshing finish.
Served at around 8–10 °C , it pairs perfectly with fresh goat cheese, fish, seafood, light salads with lemon dressing, asparagus dishes, or as a refreshing aperitif. An approachable, varietally typical white wine with plenty of character and great everyday appeal – ideal for anyone looking for a fresh, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with southern French flair.

Domaine Tariquet – a French winery in the southwest, between Toulouse and the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park. Founded in 1912 by Hélène and Pierre Grassa, it is now run by the fifth generation. Over 1,100 hectares of vineyards, a variable climate with cool nights, and fertile soils – ideal conditions for aromatic wines. What makes Tariquet special? The courage to combine grape varieties previously considered incompatible – Chardonnay with Sauvignon Blanc, for example. Syrah, Merlot, Tannat – over 10 million bottles full of character are produced here every year.
