Bründlmayer Riesling Heiligenstein Lyra

The Heiligenstein vineyard near Langenlois is considered one of Austria's great Riesling sites — and Willi Bründlmayer has been one of its most convincing interpreters for decades. The Lyra training system of the vines reduces the yield and concentrates the aromatics, which is immediately apparent in the glass.

On the nose, passion fruit, white peach, and citrus peel, underpinned by a hint of mint and light tobacco. On the palate, taut and precise: the acidity is lively but never harsh, the mouthfeel cool and powerful. The finish is long, spicy, and characterized by a subtle salinity—typical of the volcanic, weathered rock soil of the Heiligenstein vineyard.
