Bründlmayer Kamptal Terrassen Riesling DAC

The Kamptal terraces are characterized on the one hand by the barren primary rock soil (on the lower terraces with loess and loam deposits) as well as by the climate: the vineyards are located at an altitude between 200 and 300 m at the intersection of the Danube and Kamp valleys. The good daytime warming creates the ripeness and fullness of the grapes, while the suction effect of the Kamp valley moves the cool air of the Waldviertel into the vineyards in the evening and at night, preserving freshness and fruit.

The ripe grapes are hand-picked into small crates and processed very gently with a pneumatic press. The wine is fermented between 15-20° C in stainless steel tanks and then bottled directly from the fine lees. The Riesling Kamptaler Terrassen is expressive and extraordinarily compactly structured even as a young wine.

This fresh, fruity-mineral Riesling from primary rock and loess soils harmonizes with seafood, smoked fish and other cold appetizers, grilled fish, pork or veal chops, breaded and roast chicken or rabbit, Wiener Schnitzel, but above all with many Asian dishes such as wok, curries, steamed fish with vegetables, etc.
