Bründlmayer Riesling Langloiser Steinmassl
Riesling from the Kamptal region — and thus from one of Austria's most reliable white wine producers. Willi Bründlmayer has been cultivating his vineyards around Langenlois for decades with a consistent focus on origin: The Steinmassl vineyard, a primary rock site of gneiss and mica schist, gives this Riesling its mineral backbone.
A unique feature of the vineyard's cultivation is the so-called Lyra training system—a trellis system originating in France that divides the vine into a Y-shape. This allows each leaf to receive more light and air, the grapes ripen more evenly, and the aromatics remain precise. This is evident in the glass: white vineyard peach, lime zest, and a hint of tropical fruit, underpinned by a clear minerality. On the palate, it is taut, tightly structured, with lively acidity and a long, slightly saline finish.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C . Drink now, with aging potential until 2030+. At the table, it pairs well with grilled pike-perch with herb butter, Viennese fried chicken, or a young goat cheese — anywhere a wine with character and origin is desired.
