Bründlmayer Pinot Noir

Bründlmayer Pinot Noir
A Pinot Noir from the Kamptal that shows why this region has long been known for more than just Riesling and Grüner Veltliner: fresh fruit, clear structure, Burgundian elegance.
Weingut Bründlmayer in Langenlois is one of the defining names of Austrian viticulture. Willi Bründlmayer has been cultivating the best sites of the Kamptal for decades — including Dechant and Käferberg, from which this Pinot Noir originates. Both sites provide the necessary tension for a red wine with depth through their primary rock soils and the continental climate of the Kamptal.
In the glass, sour cherry and red currant appear, underscored by delicate herbal spice and a hint of cedar wood from the barrel aging. The body is medium-weight, the tannins are silky and well-integrated — typical for a carefully handcrafted Pinot. The finish is long, slightly salty, with persistent freshness.
Serving temperature: 14–16 °C. Goes well with duck breast with cherries, rack of lamb with herb crust, or an aged Époisses. Also a wine that needs no accompaniment on its own.
