Boschendal Nicolas GP

Rich fruit, wood spice and a velvety texture — the Boschendal Nicolas GP shows what the vineyards around Franschhoek in the Western Cape of South Africa are capable of.

Boschendal is one of the oldest wineries in the Cape region, founded in 1685 in the fertile Franschhoek Valley. The estate cultivates its vineyards overlooking the Hottentots Holland Mountains and is known for structured red wines with international appeal. The Nicolas GP is a flagship of this line: aged for 16 months in barriques, a carefully blended grape variety.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby ​​red color. The nose offers concentrated plum and dark cherry, along with mocha and a hint of cream from the oak aging. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied but not heavy—the tannins are well-integrated, the structure balanced, and the finish long and slightly spicy.
