GRAND PAVILLION BRUT ROSÉ Boschendal

A South African sparkling wine with real substance: Boschendal's Grand Pavillion Brut Rosé combines the freshness of the Cape with classic sparkling wine structure.

Boschendal is one of the oldest wineries in South Africa – founded in 1685 in the Franschhoek Valley, the heart of the Cape Winelands. The estate's Huguenot history and the Mediterranean climate between Simonsberg and Groot Drakenstein continue to shape its style: fresh, structured, with a distinct European influence.

In the glass, the Brut Rosé displays a pale salmon pink color with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers aromas of strawberry and raspberry, complemented by a hint of lemon zest and white peach. On the palate, it is lively with crisp acidity, a light body, and a dry, clean finish with no residual sweetness.

Serving temperature: 6–8 °C. Goes well with:

  • Salmon tartare or prawns with lime
  • Goat cheese crostini
  • Summer appetizers, quiche or light pasta

Also a solid choice as an aperitif on the terrace – without much effort, with real drinking pleasure.

Boschendal

In 1685, Jean Le Long founded the Boschendal winery in South Africa. The name translates to "forest and valley," aptly describing the region 60 kilometers east of Cape Town where the winery is located. The winemakers cultivate a total of 350 hectares of vineyards, spread across altitudes ranging from 120 to 350 meters, allowing different wines to be grown under the optimal conditions for each. Boschendal's vineyards are characterized by clay soils and the so-called Tukuli soils, on which white and red grape varieties are grown for both classic wines and sparkling wines. In the winery's modern cellars, 2.88 million bottles of wine are bottled annually.
