BIN 600

The Penfolds BIN 600 is a powerful Australian red wine with a pronounced, spicy character – for those who like their red wine opulent and structured.

On the nose, it displays an unusually complex profile: marinated olives, semi-dried tomatoes, and a hint of red curry paste mingle with thyme blossoms, lavender, and violets. Beneath these lie savory notes of braised lamb and beef consommé. On the palate, dark fruits dominate, enveloped in sweet American oak with hints of dates, goji berries, and chocolate malt. Oregano, hazelnut, and cinnamon add spice. The tannins are pronounced and present – ​​the wine opens up in the glass rather than heading towards a clean finish.

Best served at 17–18 °C. Pairs well with braised lamb loin, mushroom risotto, or strong hard cheese.
