Founded in 1983 by Ulrich and Marietta Klumpp, newcomers to the wine industry, they converted the business to organic viticulture as early as 1996 – pioneers of the organic movement in Germany. Today, the brothers Markus and Andreas Klumpp run the estate in its second generation. The vineyards stretch around Bruchsal in the Rothenberg and Weiherberg sites. The soil: a mosaic of shell limestone, Keuper marl, loess, and clay marl – ideal for characterful wines with a fine minerality. Known especially for its Pinot Noir, Klumpp regularly receives top ratings from Gault-Millau, Eichelmann, and Falstaff. Tradition meets modernity – wines full of clarity and authenticity.
