About the evening
Where the Roussillon borders the Mediterranean and the peaks of the Pyrenees rise up, is the home of Domaine Lafage. The winemaking couple Eliane and Jean-Marc Lafage understand like no other how to capture the wild beauty and climatic diversity of this region. Through the skillful interplay of three different cultivation zones – from soils near the sea to wind-swept slate formations in the Agly Valley and cooler high altitudes – wines of enormous freshness, depth, and expressiveness are created. This evening, we will travel together to the sun-drenched south of France and discover wines full of character that breathe real soul into modern winemaking.

This exceptional wine tells the story of two extreme landscapes: the depth and dark spice of 80-year-old mountain vines meet the juicy freshness and elegance of ancient coastal parcels by the Mediterranean. Dense blackberry and cassis fruit, silky tannins, and fine wood notes of cocoa and roasted coffee make this 2024 vintage an unforgettable pleasure.

How the evening works
Our wine expert will guide you through the program in an entertaining and well-founded manner. We will present the matching wines for each course and shed light on the stories behind them: How do the different soils shape the character of the vines? Why do ancient vineyards play such a decisive role? And what makes the composition of the grape varieties so unique?
Whether you have detailed questions about Grenache, Carignan, or Syrah, or simply want to enjoy – all questions are welcome. Expert knowledge is not required; your enjoyment is the focus.

The experience is rounded off by a corresponding 4-course menu that harmoniously accompanies the aromas of the wines and makes every course a part of the overall experience. Upon request, we also offer a vegetarian menu option – just let us know when booking. The menu will be announced at a later date.
