Wachtenburger Gewürztraminer fruity sweet 1.0L
A Gewürztraminer that needs no explanation – it speaks for itself. The Wachtenburger Gewürztraminer, a fruity and sweet white wine from the Wachtenburg winemakers in the Palatinate region, is perfect for those who love aromatic wines: rich, inviting, and never heavy.
In the glass, it shines a bright golden yellow. The aroma is expressive – ripe rose petals, lychee, and a hint of exotic fruits immediately capture the attention. On the palate, it reveals a lovely fruity sweetness, with a soft texture and a pleasant density balanced by natural acidity. The sweetness never feels cloying, but rather juicy and well-rounded.
The Wachtenburg winegrowers – rooted in the Palatinate for over 100 years – stand for meticulous craftsmanship and a deep understanding of their soils and the region's mild climate. Both are directly reflected in this wine.
This Gewürztraminer pairs particularly well with:
- Asian cuisine with spicy or sweet and sour flavors
- Mature Munster cheese or strong blue cheese
- Fruity dessert, apricot cake or crème brûlée
- A relaxed evening without any occasion
The 1.0-liter bottle makes it a generous choice – for social gatherings or as a gift for people who appreciate wine with character.

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
