Wachtenburg Sauvignon Blanc dry

Wachtenburg Sauvignon Blanc dry
A wine from the accompanying range – but actually, the Wachtenburg Sauvignon Blanc dry from the Wachtenburg winemakers is a wine that speaks for itself. For all those who appreciate clear aromatics and freshness without wanting to forgo depth and harmony.
On the nose, it reveals a complex character: hay, elderflower, and a delicate hint of nettle give the wine its unmistakably green and invigorating nature. On the palate, it continues this pattern consistently – grassy freshness meets pleasant notes of bell pepper and ripe mango , accompanied by a subtle spiciness that ties everything together. Full-bodied, yet never heavy, and remarkably harmonious.
The Wachtenburg Sauvignon Blanc pairs perfectly with:
- Goat cheese and fresh salads
- grilled vegetables or asparagus
- Light fish dishes and seafood
- As an aperitif on a warm evening
Pour it into the glass chilled to about 10–12 °C – then it will unfold its full aromatic range.

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
