Velenosi Falerio dei Colli Ascolani DOC
A fresh white wine from the hills around Ascoli Piceno – uncomplicated, lively and typical of the Marche region.
Velenosi is one of the most renowned wineries in the Marche region of central Italy. This family-run business from Ascoli Piceno cultivates vineyards on the sandy and clay soils of the Colli Ascolani hills and has been working for decades to highlight the region's indigenous grape varieties. The Falerio DOC is one of the traditional white wine appellations of the Marche – a blend of Trebbiano, Passerina, and Pecorino grapes.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose is fresh and clean: hawthorn blossom, lemon zest, and a hint of green apple. On the palate, it is light-bodied with lively acidity, subtle spice, and a clean, short finish.
