Ninfa Rosso Marche IGT

Ninfa Rosso Marche IGT
Ruby red with violet reflections in the glass, behind it an aroma profile that perfectly encapsulates the versatility of the brands: dark blackberry, ripe cherry, licorice and graphite, underpinned by pepper and tobacco.
Velenosi is one of the most renowned wineries in the Marche region – the estate in Ascoli Piceno brings out the typical strengths of the area: intense fruit, Mediterranean spice, and structure with a southern character. The Ninfa Rosso is an IGT blend that takes advantage of the freedom afforded by this classification and is vinified without the constraints of a DOC.
On the palate, a soft tannin structure emerges – ripe and rounded, without any harshness. The acidity keeps the wine lively, and the finish carries the pepper and tobacco notes for a while. Not a heavy wine, but one with a clear line.
- Food: Pasta with ragù, grilled lamb chops, medium-aged Pecorino from the Marche region
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Occasion: An uncomplicated evening wine that also looks good in a glass
