Villa Angela Offida Passerina DOCG
The Passerina is one of the most idiosyncratic white grape varieties of the Marche — cool, mineral, with an acidity structure that clearly distinguishes it from international varieties. Villa Angela shows this strength of character in its purest form.
Velenosi is one of the most reliable addresses in the Marche. The winery from Ascoli Piceno has been working with the autochthonous varieties of the region — Passerina and Pecorino — since the 1980s and has contributed significantly to the fact that the Offida DOCG is internationally recognized today. The vineyards are located in the hills of the southern Marche, where Adriatic breezes and daily temperature fluctuations ensure slow ripening and aroma development.
In the glass, a clear straw yellow with green reflections appears. The nose opens with white peach, lemon blossom, and a hint of chamomile. On the palate follows a fresh, clearly contoured acidity, medium body, subtly salty finish — typical for the Adriatic hill zone. No use of wood, the fruit is the unadulterated focus.

Founded in 1984 by Angela and Ercole Velenosi, the Italian winery Velenosi is located approximately 25 km from the Adriatic Sea. Situated at an altitude of about 150-200 meters above sea level, Velenosi cultivates around 145 hectares of vineyards, growing grape varieties such as Pecorino, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and Verdicchio. Approximately two million bottles of wine are bottled annually in their own cellar.
