Roederer Collection GP Champagne Louis Roederer 0.375L

Collection 247 is the multi-vintage signature of Louis Roederer: a Brut that combines precision and creamy melt. Here as a half-bottle (0.375 l), ideal for two glasses as an aperitif or as a gift.

The champagne house does not build the Collection on a single vintage. The base is the 2022 harvest, supplemented by 35% Réserve Perpétuelle and 10% reserve wines aged in wood. The dosage is 7 g/l.

In the glass, it appears champagne-colored with shiny reflections and very fine, regular perlage. On the nose, mirabelle, nectarine, and candied lemon, plus fine roasted and vanilla notes as well as saline-chalky nuances with a hint of iodine. The palate follows with peach and flower pollen, carried by creamy melt, ending in a long finale with smoky roasted accents.

Serve it at 9 °C. It goes with oysters, fried fish, or aged hard cheese and also works as an aperitif.

The Champagne House

Champagne Louis Roederer

Since the founding of the house in 1776 in Reims, the Louis Roederer winery has been in the possession of the same family. It is now one of the most important independent family businesses in Champagne. Frederic Rouzaud, a direct descendant of Louis Roederer, is the current Directeur Général.

His goal is to invent the champagne of tomorrow so that Louis Roederer will still be a reference in 20 years. The terroir extends over a total area of 240 hectares exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites along the Marne river. Since 2001, a gradual conversion of the majority to biodynamic cultivation has been taking place, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
