Roederer Collection Jeroboam Champagne Louis Roederer 3.0L

The Roederer Collection is Louis Roederer's entry into the world of vintage-blend Champagne — not a classic non-vintage, but a cuvée that highlights the character of a lead vintage and is supplemented with reserve wines from older years. The Jéroboam format with 3.0 liters slows down maturation compared to the standard bottle and gives the cuvée more time to unfold its complexity.

Louis Roederer is one of the few large Champagne houses that remains entirely family-owned. The Maison from Reims manages around 240 hectares of its own vineyards — an exceptionally high self-sufficiency rate for the region, which allows for precise control over the origin and quality of the grapes. The Collection line relies on a high proportion of still wines from the vinotheque, which give the Brut its depth and complexity.

In the glass, aromas of white peach, brioche, and a hint of toasted almond appear, underpinned by a fine citrus line and creamy perlage. The finish is dry, long, and carried by a pleasant freshness. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. The large format is suitable for festive occasions — as an aperitif to open a meal or accompanying oysters, scallops, and light poultry.

Champagne Louis Roederer

Since the founding of the house in 1776 in Reims, the Louis Roederer winery has been in the possession of the same family. It is now one of the most important independent family businesses in Champagne. Frederic Rouzaud, a direct descendant of Louis Roederer, is the current Directeur Général.

His goal is to invent the champagne of tomorrow so that Louis Roederer will still be a reference in 20 years. The terroir extends over a total area of 240 hectares exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites along the Marne river. Since 2001, a gradual conversion of the majority to biodynamic cultivation has been taking place, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
