Roederer Cristal Brut Champagne Louis Roederer 0.75L 0.75L

The Cristal from Louis Roederer in the 6.0-liter Methuselah bottle is one of the most iconic cuvées in Champagne — and in this format, it is an experience that goes far beyond the contents. Created in 1876 for the Russian Tsar Alexander II, Cristal is today the benchmark for prestige-oriented Champagnes from the house of Roederer.

In the glass, it reveals a golden hue with a warm shimmer; the perlage is fine and dynamic. The bouquet is rich and multi-layered: lemon zest, candied fruits, white flowers, and a hint of pollen open up in the glass. On the palate, the vibrant acidity structure of the Chardonnay combines with a creamy texture and a long, mineral finish.

Due to its large volume, the Methuselah bottle matures more slowly and evenly than smaller formats — the result is a particularly integrated, multi-layered Champagne with extraordinary depth. Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Ideal with lobster, scallops, or caviar — or as the centerpiece of a celebration where the Champagne itself deserves the stage.

Champagne Louis Roederer

Since the founding of the house in 1776 in Reims, the Louis Roederer winery has been in the possession of the same family. It is now one of the most important independent family businesses in Champagne. Frederic Rouzaud, a direct descendant of Louis Roederer, is the current Directeur Général.

His goal is to invent the champagne of tomorrow so that Louis Roederer will still be a reference in 20 years. The terroir extends over a total area of 240 hectares exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites along the Marne river. Since 2001, a gradual conversion of the majority to biodynamic cultivation has been taking place, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
