Roederer Collection Champagne Louis Roederer 0.375L

The Collection 246 from Louis Roederer is a multi-vintage cuvée that combines precision and creamy texture. Here is a half-bottle (0.375 l) for those who want to toast as a pair or open a champagne from this house without a large bottle.

The Roederer house builds its Collection on a Réserve Perpétuelle. The basis is 55% wines from the 2021 harvest, plus 35% Réserve Perpétuelle (vintages 2012 to 2020) and 10% reserve wines aged in wood. A total of 24% of the wines are aged in wood. The grape variety is Chardonnay, the dosage is Brut.

In the glass, a radiant champagne gold appears with ultra-fine, regular perlage. On the nose, mirabelle, nectarine, and candied lemon meet roasted aromas and vanilla from the wood. Saline reduction notes with iodine and smoke characterize the Chardonnay. On the palate, the wine is elegant and precise: peach, flower pollen, chalky salinity, and a creamy texture carried by the Réserve Perpétuelle.

Serve it at 8 to 10 °C. It works as an aperitif, with oysters, fried fish, or mature hard cheese.

The Champagne House

Champagne Louis Roederer

Since the founding of the house in 1776 in Reims, the Louis Roederer winery has been in the possession of the same family. It is now one of the most important independent family businesses in Champagne. Frederic Rouzaud, a direct descendant of Louis Roederer, is the current Directeur Général.

His goal is to invent the champagne of tomorrow so that Louis Roederer will still be a reference in 20 years. The terroir extends over a total area of 240 hectares exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites along the Marne river. Since 2001, a gradual conversion of the majority to biodynamic cultivation has been taking place, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
