Roederer Brut Nature Rosé Vintage Champagne Louis Roederer

A vintage rosé Champagne without dosage (0 g/l) that brings together precision and fruit depth. The Roederer Brut Nature Rosé 2015 comes from the Philippe Starck edition and stands for a consciously strict style.

The house of Louis Roederer works with grapes from the Premier Cru village of Cumières in Champagne. Chardonnay is listed as the grape variety. The absence of dosage makes the wine dry (Extra Brut / Brut Nature) and lets the origin shine through unadorned.

In the glass, it glows pink with fresh, shiny reflections. The nose begins spicy and clear with citrus, cassis, and fine herbal hints. With air, red fruits and honey notes appear, reminiscent of gingerbread. On the palate, it is enveloping, juicy, and concentrated; the fruit is reminiscent of ripe blackberries. Despite the strict production method, the impression remains powdery and balanced. As it develops, camphor, smoked bacon, and iodine nuances appear; the finale features a distinct umami tone.

Serve it at 8 to 10 °C in a wide white wine glass so that the aromas can unfold. It goes with tuna tartare, cured salmon, scallops, or pink-roasted duck breast.

The Champagne House

Champagne Louis Roederer

Since the founding of the house in 1776 in Reims, the Louis Roederer winery has been in the possession of the same family. It is now one of the most important independent family businesses in Champagne. Frederic Rouzaud, a direct descendant of Louis Roederer, is the current Directeur Général.

His goal is to invent the champagne of tomorrow so that Louis Roederer will still be a reference in 20 years. The terroir extends over a total area of 240 hectares exclusively in Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites along the Marne river. Since 2001, a gradual conversion of the majority to biodynamic cultivation has been taking place, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
