Riesling
A Riesling from the San Leonardo winery – that sounds unusual at first, because the estate in Trentino is primarily known for its Bordeaux blends. But it is precisely this curiosity that makes the wine interesting.
San Leonardo is located in the Laga Valley south of Trento, at an altitude of approximately 230 meters. The Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga family has cultivated the estate for generations, focusing on precise vineyard work and controlled vinification. The climate in Trentino combines continental coolness with alpine freshness—a solid foundation for Riesling, which favors acidity and aroma development.
In the glass, a fresh, clear white wine reveals itself: aromas of lemon zest, white peach, and a mineral undertone. The acidity is present but integrated—not an angular wine, but one with drive and length. The finish is dry and clean.
