Villa Gresti di San Leonardo IGT Trentino

Villa Gresti is San Leonardo's homage to its oldest vines – more accessible than its big brother San Leonardo, but with the same artisanal foundation.

The San Leonardo winery is located in the South Tyrolean lowlands, near the border with Trentino, in the Adige Valley. The Guerrieri Gonzaga family has cultivated the estate for generations and has made a name for themselves with Bordeaux-inspired cuvées – Merlot and Cabernet Franc form the basis, complemented by Carmenère. The Villa Gresti is produced from the oldest parcels of the estate, vinified with care for early accessibility without sacrificing depth.

The nose reveals tobacco, dark cherry, and a hint of cocoa, underpinned by delicate vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, soft, ripe tannins with a lively structure – not a heavy, heavy wine, but one with drive and a clean finish.

Recommendation: Serve at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with braised lamb, pasta al ragù, or a mature Pecorino cheese. Drink now until approximately 2028.
