With this Reserva, you're holding the flagship wine of one of Spain's oldest wineries in your glass—a bodega that has significantly shaped modern Rioja. Founded in 1852, Marqués de Murrieta is one of the region's pioneers. Located in the heart of Rioja Alta, near Logroño, the winery has cultivated its vineyards for generations with the aim of preserving the classic Rioja style.

In the glass, this Garnacha displays a typical southern character: ripe red cherries and pomegranate take center stage, accompanied by a hint of dried herbs and a touch of tobacco in the background. The body is rounded, the tannins well integrated thanks to the Reserva aging process, and the finish is warm and lingering with a subtle spiciness.

Serve this Rioja at 16–18 °C — ideally opened half an hour before pouring. It pairs wonderfully with lamb chops with rosemary jus, grilled chorizo, or a robust Manchego cheese. It also complements a braised autumn dish beautifully.
