Pierpaolo Pecorari Pinot Grigio Venezia Giulia

Pierpaolo Pecorari Pinot Grigio Venezia Giulia
Pinot Grigio from Venezia Giulia is often a surprise for those familiar with the thin, industrial versions. Here, the grape variety shows what it can achieve in northeastern Friuli.
Pierpaolo Pecorari has been cultivating his vineyards in Venezia Giulia for decades, focusing on single-varietal, regionally typical wines. The region between Friuli and the Slovenian border offers cool nights and mineral-rich soils—conditions that produce white wines with clear aromatics and vibrant acidity.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose offers aromas of green apple, a touch of pear, and a subtle hint of white peach. On the palate, it is light-bodied with a crisp acidity that keeps the wine fresh and easy to drink. The finish is clean and short.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C . Drinking window: now. Pairs well with zucchini pasta, grilled sea bass, mild goat cheese, or as a simple aperitif on warm evenings.
