Luitmar, the namesake of this red wine cuvée from the Philipp Kuhn winery, was a Merovingian settlement leader whose village was called "Luitmaresheim"—present-day Laumersheim. The Philipp Kuhn Luitmar dry red wine is consistently ranked among the best red wines from Germany, distinguished by its body, elegance, and structure. Subtle oak notes and forest fruit aromas combine to create an exquisite red wine that stands up to any comparison. Aged for over 20 months, 70% in new barriques and 30% in old barriques.
