Muskattrollinger MT fruity
A red wine that is more reminiscent of a lively rosé: The Muskattrollinger from the Remstal winery is light, aromatic and easy to drink – not a heavyweight in the cellar, but an uncomplicated everyday companion.
The Remstal Winery is one of Württemberg's most traditional cooperatives and has been producing the region's typical grape varieties for decades. Muskattrollinger itself is a Württemberg specialty: known since around 1830, the variety likely originated as a spontaneous cross between Trollinger and Gelbmuskateller – originally cultivated as a table grape, today it is primarily valued for its pronounced aroma.
In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red color. The nose opens with intense Muscat aromas, complemented by red berries such as strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, it is light-bodied with soft tannins and lively acidity – the finish is pleasantly short and fresh.
Serving suggestion: Serve slightly chilled at 14–16 °C. Pairs well with charcuterie boards featuring Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli), light meats, or a summery tarte flambée. Also suitable as a simple aperitif.
