Chardonnay "pur mineral" QbA dry

Chardonnay "pur mineral" QbA dry is a dry white wine from the Lergenmüller winery in the Palatinate region of Germany. The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and is vinified as a quality wine (QbA) without residual sugar, which is why it has a particularly clear and pure character.

In the glass, it displays a bright, light golden yellow with subtle green reflections. The nose is cool and mineral, with aromas of pear, quince, light banana and citrus fruit, complemented by delicate herbal notes and a pronounced, salty minerality. On the palate, the Pur Mineral is very clean, delicately juicy and lively, with crisp, well-integrated acidity, a firm body, and a long, fresh, slightly tart finish with plenty of minerality and subtle fruit.

Fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel tanks, sometimes with brief lees contact, resulting in a fresh, uncomplicated, yet richly textured wine style. It is ideally served at 8–10 °C and pairs perfectly with salads, fish, and light asparagus or vegetable dishes. Thanks to its clear structure, it can also be cellared for several years without losing its freshness.

Lergenmüller

The German winery, headquartered in the Palatinate region, was founded in 1538 and is currently managed by Jürgen and Stefan Lergenmüller. With 195 hectares under vine, it is one of the largest wineries in the Palatinate and produces up to 850,000 bottles of wine annually. The vines are cultivated at four different locations on soils of limestone, loess, and variegated sandstone, providing them with ample minerals. Controlled irrigation and the abundant sunshine in the Palatinate contribute to optimal growth. Lergenmüller's portfolio includes white wines made from grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, as well as red wines from varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot, and others.
