Lergenmüller Pinot Gris dry

Lergenmüller Pinot Gris dry
An uncomplicated Pinot Gris from the Palatinate – clearly structured, fresh, and suitable for everyday use without compromising on origin.
Lergenmüller has been farming its vineyards in the Palatinate since 1538 – one of the oldest family wineries in the region. Today, brothers Jürgen and Stefan Lergenmüller run the operation in direct succession. This continuity is reflected in a solidly crafted assortment that focuses on regional grape varieties without experiments.
The Pinot Gris comes into the glass with varietal-typical aromatics: ripe pear, white peach, and a subtle hint of almond. In the mouth, it shows itself to be taut and lively – a crisp acid structure without edges, fine juicy fruit, no heavy alcohol in the finish. Pleasantly dry, medium body.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
Goes well with pasta with cream sauce, fried asparagus, tarte flambée, or mild goat cheese. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated aperitif on warm evenings.

The German winery with its headquarters in the Palatinate was founded in 1538 and is today managed under the leadership of Jürgen and Stefan Lergenmüller. With an area of 85 ha, it is one of the largest wineries in the Palatinate and produces up to 850,000 bottles of wine annually. At a total of four locations, the vines are supplied with sufficient minerals on soils made of limestone, loess and variegated sandstone. Controlled water supply and the many hours of sunshine in the Palatinate contribute to optimal growth. Lergenmüller's range includes white wines from grape varieties such as Chardonnay or Pinot Blanc and red wines from the Pinot Noir, Merlot and other varieties.
