White Burgundy shell limestone
Pinot Blanc on limestone – this is a combination that stands for structure and mineral depth. Lergenmüller from the Palatinate region captures exactly that in the bottle.
The Lergenmüller winery is one of the established producers in the southern Palatinate, a region where limestone soils give the Pinot Blanc a characteristic straightforwardness. The chalky soils promote a fine minerality and keep the acidity lively – even in warm Palatinate vintages.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of white peach and pear, along with a subtle nuttiness typical of Pinot Blanc grown on calcareous soils. The palate is medium-bodied, with present but not harsh acidity, and a dry, pleasantly long finish.
