Lergenmüller Urgewalt Dornfelder dry

Dornfelder from the Palatinate, just as it should be: dark, fruity, with real backbone. The raw power of the Lergenmüller winery lives up to its name.

Lergenmüller is a family winery from the Southern Palatinate that has focused on the region's red grape varieties for generations. Dornfelder is not an afterthought here, but a conscious choice for both depth and approachability.

In the glass, the wine shines a deep ruby red, almost violet. The nose offers aromas of blueberry and wild cherry , along with a peppery, spicy note that gives it character. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with soft tannins and a long finish—not an angular wine, but one that brings immediate pleasure.

Lergenmüller

The German winery, headquartered in the Palatinate region, was founded in 1538 and is currently managed by Jürgen and Stefan Lergenmüller. With 195 hectares under vine, it is one of the largest wineries in the Palatinate and produces up to 850,000 bottles of wine annually. The vines are cultivated at four different locations on soils of limestone, loess, and variegated sandstone, providing them with ample minerals. Controlled irrigation and the abundant sunshine in the Palatinate contribute to optimal growth. Lergenmüller's portfolio includes white wines made from grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, as well as red wines from varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot, and others.
