Lergenmüller Urgewalt Dornfelder dry

Lergenmüller Urgewalt Dornfelder dry
Dornfelder from the Pfalz, just as it should be: dark, fruit-forward, with real backbone. The Urgewalt (primal force) from the Lergenmüller winery lives up to its name.
Lergenmüller is a family winery from the Southern Pfalz that has been focusing on the region's red grape varieties for generations. Dornfelder here is not a side note, but a conscious decision for both depth and accessibility.
In the glass, the wine glows deep ruby red, almost violet. On the nose, it carries blueberry and wild cherry, plus a peppery-spicy note that gives it character. Full-bodied on the palate, with soft tannins and a long finish — not a sharp wine, but one that brings immediate joy.
- Food: Pasta with tomato sauce, grilled bratwurst, leg of lamb, or strong mountain cheese

The German winery with its headquarters in the Palatinate was founded in 1538 and is today managed under the leadership of Jürgen and Stefan Lergenmüller. With an area of 85 ha, it is one of the largest wineries in the Palatinate and produces up to 850,000 bottles of wine annually. At a total of four locations, the vines are supplied with sufficient minerals on soils made of limestone, loess and variegated sandstone. Controlled water supply and the many hours of sunshine in the Palatinate contribute to optimal growth. Lergenmüller's range includes white wines from grape varieties such as Chardonnay or Pinot Blanc and red wines from the Pinot Noir, Merlot and other varieties.
