Lergenmüller Pinot Gris Small Bottle

A delightful Pinot Gris from the Palatinate – uncomplicated, fresh, and perfect for enjoying in the moment. The small bottle makes it the ideal companion when a full bottle would be too much.

Lergenmüller Winery is located in Hördt in the southern part of the Palatinate. The family-run winery cultivates the sandy and loamy soils of the Rhine plain and focuses on approachable, varietally typical wines for everyday enjoyment.

In the glass, the Pinot Gris displays aromas of pear and apple, along with a hint of herbs. The body is firm with a subtle minerality, the acidity well-integrated – not heavy, but with enough substance for a meal. The finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with tarte flambée, goat cheese, steamed vegetables, or light pasta dishes. Also a good choice on its own as a simple aperitif – especially since the small size is practical: ideal for picnics, train journeys, or barbecues with mixed tastes.

Lergenmüller

The German winery, headquartered in the Palatinate region, was founded in 1538 and is currently managed by Jürgen and Stefan Lergenmüller. With 195 hectares under vine, it is one of the largest wineries in the Palatinate and produces up to 850,000 bottles of wine annually. The vines are cultivated at four different locations on soils of limestone, loess, and variegated sandstone, providing them with ample minerals. Controlled irrigation and the abundant sunshine in the Palatinate contribute to optimal growth. Lergenmüller's portfolio includes white wines made from grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, as well as red wines from varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot, and others.
