Kremser Kreuzberg Riesling DAC Reserve

The Kremser Kreuzberg Riesling DAC Reserve is a dry white wine from one of the most well-known Riesling sites in the Kremstal — precise, profound, and with the unmistakable character of the Kreuzberg.

Winzer Krems is one of the largest and most traditional winegrowers' cooperatives in Austria, with roots in Krems an der Donau. The cooperative cultivates steep slopes in the Kremstal, including the Kreuzberg, whose primary rock soils of gneiss and mica schist give the Riesling a distinct minerality. The DAC Reserve designation stands for wines that clearly show their origin character — varietal, site-specific, and sophisticated.

In the glass, the Kreuzberg Riesling shows aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and a hint of stone fruit, underpinned by a fine, cool minerality. The acidity is lively but integrated, the finish long and spicy with a typical Riesling interplay between fruit and salt.

Best served at 10–12 °C — as an accompaniment to grilled zander, Wiener fried chicken, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a robust mountain cheese.

WINZER KREMS eG

Winzer Krems eG is one of the most well-known wine cooperatives in Lower Austria – rooted in Krems an der Donau, in the middle of one of Austria's most classic white wine regions. Here, where loess and primary rock characterize the soils, Grüner Veltliner grows above all: spicy, crisp, with that typical pepper note that you won't find in any other grape variety in the world.

Cellar master Franz Arndorfer sums it up himself: Good wines can only be made from healthy, ripe grapes – technology can support this, but not replace it. You can feel this credo in the wines. In addition to Grüner Veltliner, Blauer Zweigelt also plays a role – Austria's red character, with cherry aromas and a velvety structure.
