Grappa Barili di Sassicaia in gift tin 0.5L

A grappa made from the pomace of Italy's most famous Cabernet vines — distilled by Jacopo Poli, one of the most renowned distilling dynasties in Veneto.

The story begins in 1994 with a handshake: Marchese Nicolò Incisa della Rocchetta of Tenuta San Guido in Bolgheri and Jacopo Poli from Vicenza decided to transform the pomace of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes from the Sassicaia wine into a grappa worthy of the wine's global reputation. Poli, known for his gentle steam distillation, undertook the distillation process—the result is a barrel-aged grappa that unmistakably reflects its origin.

In the glass, a warm gold with amber highlights. On the nose, dried red fruits, vanilla from the oak aging, a hint of tobacco, and dark chocolate. On the palate, velvety and warm, with integrated roasted notes and a long, spicy finish.

Neat at room temperature in a cognac snifter. Pairs well with dark chocolate, walnuts, or as a digestif after a hearty meal. The gift box makes it a perfect present for wine lovers who demand the finest grappa.

Jacopo Poli

Po' di Poli – unassuming in name, masterful in glass. For this grappa from the Poli distillery, the addition of "Morbida" (soft, gentle) perfectly captures its essence. The pomace comes from Muscat Blanc grapes grown in the Euganean Hills and is distilled drip-fresh in a copper pot still using the traditional, discontinuous method. The master distiller skillfully separates the heads and tails, retaining only the exquisite heart of the distillate. After six months of rest in stainless steel tanks, the grappa is gently filtered. The result: a grappa of gentle softness and delicate aroma. Truly Poli.
