Marzadro Le Giare Amarone in GP

When autumn arrives in Trentino and the grape harvest in the vineyards draws to a close, the Marzadro distillery enters its peak season. From September until well into December, they work around the clock for 100 days a year to distill several hundred kilograms of freshly delivered, carefully selected pomace each day. This exclusive grappa is aged for 36 months in small casks made of precious oak. It boasts a rich and intense, velvety, lingering, and pleasantly captivating flavor. Marzadro dedicates "Le Giare" to the memory of the injustices and cruelties suffered by the women accused of witchcraft in the village of Giare, in the municipality of Nogaredo, around 1646, before being tried and sentenced to death. On the palate, Le Giare Amarone is velvety, round, and persistent. A grappa of incredible smoothness, with aromas of wood nuts and cocoa. International Wine & Spirit Competition - 2012 Gold Medal
