Jacopo Poli Marconi 46 Gin

Jacopo Poli Marconi 46 Gin
A gin from Poli – one of Italy's most renowned grappa distilleries. The fact that the Poli family from Schiavon in Veneto also distills gin is not a passing fad, but a logical consequence: their distillation expertise stems from over 130 years of experience with grape pomace.
Marconi 46 – named after the distillery's address at Via Marconi 46 – is based on a grape and fruit pomace base, which stylistically distinguishes it from grain gins. The botanicals include juniper as a classic backbone, as well as aromatic herbs and spices from the northern Italian tradition. Its 46% ABV provides sufficient structure to hold its own in cocktails.
In the glass, it displays a clear juniper profile, underpinned by floral and fruity notes derived from the grape base. The finish is soft and aromatic, with a subtle spiciness lingering on the aftertaste.
- Neat: chilled at 8–10 °C to bring out the fruitiness of the base.
- Gin and Tonic: with a mild, floral tonic and lemon zest
- Cocktail: as a base for a Negroni or Martinez – the grape pomace note harmonizes well with sweet vermouth

Po' di Poli – unassuming in name, masterful in glass. For this grappa from the Poli distillery, the addition of "Morbida" (soft, gentle) perfectly captures its essence. The pomace comes from Muscat Blanc grapes grown in the Euganean Hills and is distilled drip-fresh in a copper pot still using the traditional, discontinuous method. The master distiller skillfully separates the heads and tails, retaining only the exquisite heart of the distillate. After six months of rest in stainless steel tanks, the grappa is gently filtered. The result: a grappa of gentle softness and delicate aroma. Truly Poli.
