Gran Bassano Vermouth Bianco

A vermouth that shows what happens when a distiller with grappa experience takes the category seriously: Gran Bassano Bianco by Jacopo Poli is based on Vespaiolo — an autochthonous white wine grape from Veneto, grown in the DOC area around Bassano del Grappa.

Jacopo Poli is primarily known as one of Italy's most prestigious grappa distilleries, based in Bassano del Grappa since 1898. With Gran Bassano, they transfer their artisanal understanding to vermouth—with a clear commitment to regional identity rather than a generic base.

In the glass, it displays a bright golden yellow color. The bouquet is complex: hawthorn and elderflower provide floral freshness, grapefruit and orange add citrus spice, while galangal and myrtle lend a herbaceous, slightly balsamic undertone. On the palate, the Bianco is pleasantly aromatic with a balanced, non-clogging sweetness and a long, herbaceous finish.

  • Neat: well chilled at 6–8 °C over ice, with an orange zest
  • Aperitif: as a Spritz with Prosecco and a splash of mineral water
  • Cocktail: classic vermouth base for a White Negroni or Martini Bianco

Jacopo Poli

Po' di Poli – unassuming in name, masterful in glass. For this grappa from the Poli distillery, the addition of "Morbida" (soft, gentle) perfectly captures its essence. The pomace comes from Muscat Blanc grapes grown in the Euganean Hills and is distilled drip-fresh in a copper pot still using the traditional, discontinuous method. The master distiller skillfully separates the heads and tails, retaining only the exquisite heart of the distillate. After six months of rest in stainless steel tanks, the grappa is gently filtered. The result: a grappa of gentle softness and delicate aroma. Truly Poli.
