Gaisböhl Riesling dry GC Monopol QW Pfalz 0.75L

Gaisböhl Riesling dry GC Monopol QW Pfalz 0.75L
The Gaisböhl is one of the most important Riesling vineyards in the Palatinate — a monopoly of Bürklin-Wolf in Wachenheim, classified as a Grand Cru in the VDP system. Calcareous sandstone soil at an altitude of around 200 meters, southern exposure, continental climate with warm days and cool nights: the ideal conditions for Riesling with depth and vibrancy.
In the glass, the wine initially appears reserved, then opens up with aromas of yellow peach, ripe quince, and a hint of citrus peel. The acidity is precise and well-integrated, the body firm yet light. The finish is long, slightly mineral, with a saline note typical of the sandstone soils. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
Drinking window until at least 2032 — this wine needs time to reach its full potential. Good now, better in three to five years. Pairs well with pike-perch fillet with beurre blanc, chicken in Riesling sauce, or a mature mountain cheese.
