Hohenmorgen G.C. Riesling dry QW Palatinate 0.75L

The Hohenmorgen is one of the most renowned single vineyards in the Palatinate — a Grand Cru located on deep loess soils over limestone in Deidesheim, which gives the Riesling an extraordinary combination of fullness and tension. Bürklin-Wolf, one of the oldest and most important wineries in the Palatinate, has been farming its vineyards consistently biodynamically (DE-ÖKO-003) for years — the soils are treated as a living system, not as a production area.

In the glass, this Riesling shows aromas of ripe apricot and citrus peel, underpinned by a fine mineral note reminiscent of the calcareous subsoil. The body is dense, the acidity precise and well-integrated — not a sharp cut, but a long-lasting freshness that carries the finish.

Best served at 10–12 °C. In the kitchen, it pairs well with zander fillet on beurre blanc, grilled lobster, or a ripe affinée goat cheese. Those who drink it pure will get a wine that shows depth even without food accompaniment.
