Ruppertsberger Hoheburg P.C. Riesling dry QW Palatinate 1.5L

This Riesling from the Ruppertsberger Hoheburg stands for the classic, mineral-driven side of the Palatinate. The Dr. Bürklin-Wolf winery in Wachenheim is one of the most well-known estates in the region and works organically. The "P.C." in the name refers to the estate's vineyard classification, which is modeled on the Premier Cru concept of Burgundy.

The wine shows a clear golden yellow in the glass. On the nose, it begins with wet stone, followed by quince, pear and citrus zest. On the palate, it is dry, with a silky texture, ripe fruit and a fresh, clearly defined acidity that gives the wine pull and structure. The finish remains mineral and pleasantly long.

Serve it at 8 to 10 °C. It pairs well with fried zander, sweetbreads, asparagus with hollandaise sauce or mild mountain cheese. The 1.5-liter magnum bottle is well-suited for a table with several guests and also makes a good gift.
